![]() I'm dying to know what a straight 93 tune without any tweaks at all will net on a bone stock srt-4. Ugh! This is starting to become a much harder choice now because everyone seems to have some small variable with their Predator tune. Regardless, I'd guess that you'd still be slightly over 250whp if it were an absolute "straight out of the box" Predator tune. I have to imagine that the 20% raise in boost is a large contributing factor in the numbers you got from the 93 tune. Thanks for the insight on your particular Diablo tune. I would be sure to have a wideband though if you want to play with the car, just to be safe. Sfla_srt4 wrote:My diablo was tweaked on one perameter on the dyno. Heck, if you're local to me and know of any good shops, let me know. I've never dyno'd mine to know what it makes stock but would love to. I'd have to imagine that with more miles on the motor from break-in, the numbers could be even slightly higher. BTW, your stock whp numbers are very nice. ![]() The Stage 1 isn't exactly cheap either for what you get. It ended up being a garage queen lol.Īnyway, I'm glad to hear that the Predator tuner is a step up from the Mopar Stage 1. I don't want to do a lot anyway as I dumped tons of money into my old blown 5.0. Can't say I've really met any other SRT-4 owners to talk about best for the buck mods. Heck, I drive it 64 miles one way every day to work.Īs for where I'm located, I'm in PA. Yeah, its my daily driver and only car since I sold my blown 5.0 last year. I bought it with 7,200 miles and after two years I'm at 58k. Man, I can't even remember when my car had just 5k on it. I appreciate the response and input you've given. Where abouts are you from? Maybe somebody local to you can give you a demo of the tuner in person. * If I drive normal like on the way to work, you have absolutely no idea it's there until you go WOT. * More boost (spiking around 18 and holding 15) That leaves a LOT of power to be had.Īfter installing the 93 performance tune, I"m seeing the following: My wideband goes down to the lowest setting at 10:1 air/fuel ratio at WOT on the stock tune and I've heard that Stage 1 and 2 are even worse. All of the Mopar tunes run horribly rich. Plus it is cheaper than Stage 1 and it it easy to go back to stock. I'm very familiar with the Stage 1 as I had it on my PT GT for 3 years. I just got my predator tuner a couple days ago. I have a cold air intake, and 3" downpipe with cat. I'm have a mostly stock red '05 SRT as well (it only has 5k miles). This will be my first handheld tuner, if I'm able to come to the realization that this will be a worthwhile mod. Let me say that I greatly appreciate any and all insight that it is given. As for all the technical details regarding the 93 tune, dyno results, and anything else, I'd love to hear from the Diablo techs. So, for those that have a stock SRT-4 and are using the standard 93 tune that comes with the Predator, please give me your feedback. Now, I do plan on getting a MOPAR CAI, DP, and catback eventually but for now, the car is stock. Is this a reasonable expectation? Remember, the car is stock! That means no exhaust upgrades, intake, WGA, boost controller, fuel, comp, ect. ![]() What I'm looking to achieve is about 250whp on my stock 05. With that said, I'm thinking of going with the Predator now as long as I can get a good idea of what kind of a performance improvement I can expect with the standard stock 93 tune. For months, I've been toying with the idea of getting a STAGE 1 for my stock SRT-4, that was until I saw that there is a Predator tuner for our cars now. Well, as you will probably be able to tell from my post count, I'm a brand new user who's looking to get a little more detail about the benefits of a Diablosport tuner for my 05 SRT-4, using the stock tune U7134/93 Performance tune. ![]()
